Governor Sanwo-Olu Sacked Bolaji Oreagba the head of LASTMA , Reasons, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has recently taken decisive action in the realm of traffic management by relieving Bolaji Oreagba of his duties as the General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). This move, rooted in the quest for enhanced performance and the eradication of staff misdemeanors, led to the immediate appointment of Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the acting general manager of LASTMA.
The decision to replace Oreagba was articulated by Olawale Musa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, who emphasized the need for improved efficiency and effective traffic management on Lagos roads. Bakare-Oki, previously serving as the Deputy Director of the Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Bakare-Oki, having joined the Lagos State Public Service in 2000, has ascended through the ranks and holds a master’s degree in Transportation Planning and Management from the University of Lagos. His appointment reflects a commitment to bolstering the agency’s capabilities, with a focus on addressing challenges and advancing traffic management systems.
