Renowned Nollywood actress and film producer, Eniola Ajao, has engaged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos regarding the apprehension of crossdresser, Bobrisky.
The internet was ablaze on Wednesday night as news of Bobrisky’s arrest spread like wildfire online. The socialite was apprehended at the Lagos Command of the EFCC for alleged naira abuse, splashing of naira notes, and currency tampering.
It’s notable that Bobrisky has been entangled in numerous controversies in recent weeks following his receipt of the best-dressed female award at Eniola Ajao’s inaugural cinematic production, ‘Beast of Two Worlds’ (Ajakaju).
Eniola Ajao, renowned for her box office hit ‘Ajakaju’, expressed her sorrow upon learning of Bobrisky’s arrest, highlighting that the self-made ‘Mummy of Lagos’ shouldn’t be undergoing such tribulations after the recognition bestowed upon him at her premiere.
The elegant mother of one, nonetheless, implored the EFCC to release Bobrisky, stating that he has absorbed his lessons.
She penned, “Woke up feeling very melancholic. My thoughts and prayers are with Bobrisky this morning. He has been immensely supportive. He shouldn’t be facing any repercussions due to the film. Perhaps I shouldn’t have named the sequel of #ajakajuthemovie, @ajakajumovie Ajakaju. The controversies since the premiere and the subsequent cinema screenings have reached unprecedented levels; it’s a distinct Nollywood saga in itself.”
“I earnestly pray for Bobrisky (Mummy of Lagos) to return home safely. Please EFCC, lend us your assistance. We’ve gleaned valuable lessons; we’ll strive for improvement and refrain from extravagant spending. We’ll only engage in transfers.
