Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has stirred up online discussions after targeting artists Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy in his latest single titled “Brag”.
Nigerians woke up to the controversial rap track released in the early hours of Friday, May 10.
Sarkodie, in line with the song’s theme of boasting, claimed to have sold out the O2 in 2016 before Nigerian performers Davido and Wizkid. He asserted that he set the trend for them.
Additionally, Sarkodie placed Grammy Award-winning Nigerian musician Burna Boy and Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif in the same league as himself.
A line from his song reads: “Wizkid came, I was already doing it, Davido started, I was improving it, then Odogwu came through Black Sherif & Asake”.
