Hotel Employee Suspected of Supplying Drugs
A source, who spoke to People under anonymity, revealed:
“There appears to be evidence that a hotel employee sourced the drugs for Payne.”
Prosecutors are considering indicting the employee for drug distribution as part of the ongoing investigation into what has been categorized as a “suspicious death.”
No Signs of Foul Play, But “Cristal” Use Suspected
Although Payne was alone at the time of the incident and no defensive injuries were found, Buenos Aires police reported the presence of a powerful drug known as ‘cristal,’ which can induce hallucinations and psychotic behavior. Officers warned that the drug could cause severe mood swings, making users aggressive.
Manager’s 911 Call Raises Questions
On the night of Payne’s death, the hotel manager called 911, reporting:
“He is high and drunk, destroying his room. He is in a room with a balcony, and we are scared he might endanger his life.”
Strangely, the manager requested only medical assistance from SAME (Argentina’s emergency service), declining police intervention.
