He confronted Funke Akindele for mourning his sister publicly but not being there for her during her final moments.

According to Jumoke’s brother, she tried calling Funke several times and reached out through friends, but Funke didn’t respond. In response, Funke Akindele cried on Instagram Live, mentioning her personal struggles and attempts to rebuild her life.

Funke revealed that when Jumoke was alive, she contacted Jide Awobona to check on her, and he said Jumoke preferred people contacting her for job opportunities. Adeola, Jumoke’s brother, criticized Funke for contacting him only after Jumoke’s death, finding it odd that she didn’t have Jumoke’s number and had to go through a coworker to reach her.
