The incident was documented in a video captioned: “She abstained from malt due to fasting.”
Multiple videos circulated on social media, recorded by a bystander who witnessed the event.
As per one of the videos provided below, Alhaja collapsed while walking down the street. Onlookers promptly assisted her, reviving her by splashing water on her face and administering basic medical aid.
In an attempt to stabilize her and prevent further loss of consciousness, she was offered a malt drink, which Alhaja declined despite urging from the bystanders.
Despite numerous pleas from various individuals, she persisted in refusing the beverage for several hours, adamant about maintaining her Ramadan fast.
Alhaja’s actions drew attention on social media, prompting many to share their opinions in the post’s comment section.
