“I don’t charge to perform in an event but the Lord blesses me” – Dunsin Oyekan. Renowned gospel artist, Dunsin Oyekan, shares why he doesn’t demand payment for performing at events.
During a brief interview with content creator Timi Agbaje, Oyekan discussed his preparation process before singing.
Agbaje questioned Oyekan about how secular musicians often use alcohol to get into the right mood.
Oyekan explained that he prepares for music by praying and entering into a spiritual state through speaking in tongues.
When asked if gospel artists should charge for performances, Oyekan suggested it depends on their consecration.
He personally chooses not to charge due to his consecration. Oyekan reiterated that while he doesn’t charge for performances, he continues to be blessed by the Lord.
