Recalling recent events, netizens claimed that Mercy Chinwo’s child bore a resemblance to Nathaniel Bassey, sparking online controversy. The gospel artist has since initiated legal proceedings against some of these individuals.
On April 1, 2024, Nathaniel Bassey formally submitted the complaint to the IGP through legal representatives Peter Abraham, Uche Matthew, Gbenga Agunloye, and Anthony Abia.
Last week, four social media users spread a viral claim that Bassey fathered a child with a prominent gospel singer. In response, Bassey’s attorneys urge swift police action against the accused individuals: Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, Terrence Ekot, and DJ Spoiltkid.
The petition states, “Our client is a revered gospel musician whose music and ministry have touched countless lives worldwide.”
