Burna Boy issues an apology to Nigerian blogs while fiercely condemning Western media outlets. Renowned musician Burna Boy has penned an apology directed at Nigerian blogs amidst his strong criticism of Western media platforms regarding their recent coverage of him.
The Afrobeat sensation has been engaged in a longstanding feud with bloggers due to their persistent interference in his personal matters.
At one point, he attempted to bribe certain bloggers to refrain from mentioning him in their publications.
The ‘Twice as Tall’ singer has lambasted Western media for circulating a photo of him with a shaved face, falsely portraying it as recent.
He clarified that the image was captured in 2021, during his last shave, emphasizing the misleading nature of the coverage.
Expressing his dismay, Burna Boy remarked that while he previously believed Nigerian blogs to be the epitome of foolishness, he now acknowledges that they may have taken cues from their Western counterparts.
He wrote below
“To all you wei** who depend on theshaderoom @theshadeborough And other weird blogs for your daily news. I shaved my beard in 2021 NOT now. But it’s good to know that for all the history Ive been making and records I’ve been setting and breaking, You PARASITES ONLY CARE ABOUT WHO I MIGHT HAVE F.kD, who I’m fkng and stupid like “Burna boy shaved his beard”. I gotta apologise to Nigerian blogs now cuz I thought their stup*ity was unique, I didn’t know they learned all they know from the West.”
