Asake, the artist behind the chart-topper “Only Me,” shared that he was in a relationship before his breakthrough in the music industry. Excited about his newfound success and substantial income, he confided in his girlfriend about his earnings.
The singer recounted how he disclosed the details of his earnings to her and even generously gifted her N2 million from his paycheck.
However, Asake was taken aback when his girlfriend rejected the N2 million, deeming it insufficient compared to his earnings. This reaction puzzled him, considering her modest background.
Feeling perplexed, Asake sought counsel from Olamide, who advised him to end the relationship and instead, give the money to his mother.
Following Olamide’s advice, Asake redirected the N2 million to his mother, who used it to establish a thriving provision store. Grateful for Olamide’s guidance, Asake reflected on how his mother no longer relies on him financially, thanks to her newfound independence.
