Teacher and Mother of Two Arrested for Alleged Inappropriate Relationship with Teenage Student in South Carolina, A 27-year-old teacher and mother of two, Reagan Anderson, employed at a private Christian school in South Carolina, USA, was arrested on November 15 on charges of pressuring a teenage student into engaging in sexual activities and sending explicit pictures. The arrest followed accusations of two counts of sexual battery involving a 17-year-old, as outlined in an arrest warrant obtained by WCSC.
During Anderson’s court hearing on Thursday, the victim’s mother expressed her dismay, stating, “A trusted coach, teacher, and friend that abused our trust and violated her oath as an educator. She has ruined our son’s life.” The mother emphasized that her son’s focus on being a carefree, sports-loving young man had been disrupted, warning that no young athlete would be safe if Anderson remained free.
The alleged abuse began in October, with incidents reported in a private residence in Holly Hill and a subsequent encounter in a Pizza Hut parking lot in Santee. Anderson is accused of sending explicit photos to the teenager via Snapchat.
Upon learning of the inappropriate relationship, school administrators promptly contacted the police on November 8. The Head of School, Brandy Mullennax, informed parents in a letter that the administration was cooperating with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation. Anderson was swiftly terminated from her teaching position.
Despite her LinkedIn profile describing her as “very passionate about children” and identifying her as a stay-at-home mom seeking opportunities to support her family, Anderson now faces serious legal consequences. Her bond was set at $2,500, and she was ordered to wear a GPS monitor. Additionally, she is prohibited from having any contact with the victim and his family. The case sheds light on the breach of trust in an educational setting, prompting swift action from both the school and law enforcement. Follow Us on Instagram
