Federal Government Announces Public Holiday on Monday October 2nd for Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day
The Federal Government has officially declared Monday, October 2nd, as a public holiday to mark the 63rd Independence Day celebration. The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the government in Abuja.
In a statement issued, the Minister extended his congratulations to all Nigerians, both at home and in the Diaspora, on this occasion. He also reassured Nigerians of the government’s unwavering commitment to addressing the various challenges confronting the nation.
The Minister acknowledged that the socio-economic and security challenges faced by Nigeria are not unique, as such issues are global in nature. He emphasized that the government is actively working to confront these challenges with all available resources, striving for a better future for the country.
