Kentucky Ballistics Accident Incident
In April 2021, a tragic incident occurred during one of Scott’s video shoots for his YouTube channel, Kentucky Ballistics. He was test-firing a Serbu RN-50 rifle using ammunition that he noted was “behaving a bit funny.”
During the firing, the ammunition unexpectedly exploded. The force of the explosion caused Scott’s goggles and cap to be blown off, and a solid metal cap from the rifle struck him in the face.
Scott suffered severe injuries, including a one-inch piece of metal penetrating his neck, tearing his jugular vein, and puncturing his right lung. His right orbital bone was broken in three places, and he immediately lost vision in his right eye.
His father, who was filming the incident, rushed him to the emergency room. Scott had to use his thumb to cover the neck wound to stop the bleeding. Doctors later credited this action with likely saving his life.
The incident took place while Scott was testing a Serbu RN-50 rifle for a YouTube video on April 9, 2021. He suspected that the ammunition used that day was either unauthorized or defective, leading to the dangerous explosion.
