Musk’s Reaction to Allegations Against Diddy
Elon Musk’s friendship with music executive Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has come into the spotlight following Musk’s inquiry about the alleged serial sexual abuse committed by Combs. After reports surfaced detailing over a hundred sexual abuse claims against the rapper, including an allegation involving a nine-year-old boy, Musk questioned, “How many people in music & entertainment knew about this?”
Musk’s Bragging Rights
In response to Musk’s comments, social media users highlighted his close relationship with Combs. In their new book, Character Limit, authors Kate Conger and Ryan Mac revealed that Musk bragged about his friendship with Combs to Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels. This conversation took place after Samuels expressed concerns about racism on the platform under Musk’s ownership.
Musk reportedly stated, “I don’t know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter. You know, he’s a good friend of mine. We text a lot.”
Diddy’s Investment in X
In August, it was confirmed that Combs had invested over $10 million in Musk’s purchase of the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Photographs also surfaced showing Combs seated next to Musk at a dinner event in May 2022.
Recent Developments
Last month, Diddy was arrested after being indicted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, further complicating his relationship with the billionaire and the music industry at large.
