J.D. Vance Beats the Heat in San Diego Pool Wears Shirt in the Water
J.D. Vance, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, took a dip to cool off in sunny San Diego but kept things modest by keeping his shirt on in the pool. On Saturday, Vance was spotted relaxing at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, a luxury resort in La Jolla, where he entered the pool fully clothed, sitting calmly in the water up to his collarbone.
The scene was quiet, with Vance reportedly having the pool to himself under the close watch of two Secret Service agents.
Vance is in San Diego for his campaign, making a stop at the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday, where he criticized the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies in a series of video clips. In recent weeks, he’s been busy on the campaign trail, attending rallies and speaking out against the Harris-Walz ticket.
The coming weeks will be critical for both campaigns, with a presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris set for Tuesday, followed by Vance’s vice-presidential debate against Tim Walz on October 1.
As for his preparation? Vance recently mentioned he won’t be formally prepping for his debate with Walz, preferring instead to meet with “real Americans” on the campaign trail. Perhaps, his poolside relaxation is part of the process.
