Basketball Wives’ Jennifer Williams’ Fiancé Christian Gold Jailed Before Wedding
Jennifer Williams, star of “Basketball Wives,” is facing a significant setback in her wedding plans after her fiancé, Christian Gold, was sentenced to jail just a week before their planned nuptials.
Christian was taken into custody on Friday morning at a DeKalb County, Georgia, courthouse for violating his probation. The judge sentenced him to 15 days in jail, a situation that likely surprised Jennifer, who was in court to support her fiancé.
However, there is a silver lining for the couple. The judge allowed Christian to serve just 2 days in jail for now, enabling him to be temporarily released to attend their wedding in Paris on September 14. Despite the situation, Jennifer remained silent outside the courthouse.
Although their Paris wedding remains scheduled, their post-wedding plans have been disrupted. Christian will need to return to DeKalb County to complete the remaining 13 days of his sentence, leaving no opportunity for a honeymoon.
Christian’s legal issues are linked to a probation violation related to a false imprisonment charge. He had previously served 30 months for this charge before his release in 2018. Authorities discovered the violation after Christian traveled to Italy and Switzerland with Jennifer in July without notifying his probation officer. The violation came to light through their social media posts from the trip.
In addition, Christian had failed to pay $12,500 in restitution to his victim, but he settled this amount during Friday’s court proceedings.
Currently, Christian is in jail while the couple’s wedding preparations continue amid these unforeseen challenges.
