Nigerian Singer Skales Claims Loss of N15 Million After Airline Cancels Flight Due to Pilot Illness
Nigerian singer Skales expressed his frustration on September 6 after his flight was canceled because the pilot was unwell. In a video posted online, Skales accused the airline, Green Africa, of causing him significant financial loss.
In the video, Skales revealed that the flight cancellation resulted in a loss of N15 million, which he had been paid by fellow artist Seyivodi. He criticized the airline for not informing passengers earlier about the pilot’s illness and for the overall poor customer service. Skales wrote:
“@greenafrica__ wow! I booked a flight to Akure… I got to the airport early, we checked in, and suddenly you canceled the flight because your pilot got sick? This is unbelievable. I have lost money (I was paid 15 million naira by @seyivodi for f***’s sake) because of your horrible customer disrespect. Did you know all along that your pilot was sick, or is this some sick joke? You waited until it was flight time. I just can’t believe this. This country, man, gosh… we go see.”
