Simone Biles Attends Her First WNBA Game and Meets Caitlin Clark
Wednesday night was a big one for Caitlin Clark—she broke another WNBA record, secured a big win, and met Olympic legend Simone Biles!
The excitement took place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana, where Clark and the Indiana Fever faced off against the Connecticut Sun in a crucial matchup. Biles, attending her first-ever WNBA game, arrived with fellow Olympian Gabby Thomas to watch the action.
Clark, 22, delivered a stellar performance, scoring 19 points, grabbing five rebounds, and dishing out five assists in an 84-80 victory. She also set a new record for the most three-pointers in a season by a rookie, hitting three during the game.
After the game, Clark had the chance to meet Biles, sharing a warm hug with the gymnastics superstar. The two, along with Thomas, posed for a photo, with Clark beaming from ear to ear.
Biles received VIP treatment at the game, complete with suite seats and a spotlight on the Jumbotron. She even received an Indiana Fever plushie as a keepsake from her first WNBA experience.
Following her meetup with Clark, the entire Fever team got a chance to meet Biles, and they couldn’t hide their excitement. One by one, players posed for photos with the Olympic icon, clearly thrilled to meet her.
“They were so excited!” Biles said after meeting the team. “Oh, my God! It’s, like, usually the boys will just pass me, like, ‘Yo.’ But they were so excited! That was so cool.” It’s safe to say that Biles will be back for more WNBA action soon!
