Actress Adele Heather Taylor Countersues Husband Roberto Orcí for $17M, Accusing Him of Sexual Assault and Physical Abuse
Adele Heather Taylor, known for her role on *The Blacklist*, has filed a countersuit against her estranged husband, screenwriter Roberto Orcí, claiming she is the true victim of abuse. In new court documents filed by her attorney, Michael E. Weinstein, Adele accuses Orcí of sexual assault and physical abuse throughout their relationship.
According to Adele, Orcí, whom she refers to as Bob, first struck her in March 2018 during an incident in a New York City cab, where he allegedly slapped her three times. She alleges that the violence escalated, with further instances of sexual assault and physical restraint occurring in May and June 2022.
Adele also claims that Orcí became violent again before Christmas of the same year after she attempted to leave him. She says he threw her belongings and their blind-and-deaf dog, Nigel, out of her car before attacking her physically.
In addition, Adele accuses Orcí of threatening to leave her financially destitute and evict her elderly grandparents from a home he had purchased for them, despite his previous promises of financial support for life.
She asserts that Orcí broke his promise to divide his assets with her and support her financially after she had to leave due to his abusive behavior. Adele, who had previously been sued by Orcí for domestic violence following his claims that she burned him with hot soup, alleges that he preemptively called the police on her and accused her of domestic violence to discredit her.
Adele also claims that Orcí used her past experiences of sexual assault against her, with Orcí allegedly making threatening comments during an altercation.
She is seeking $17 million in damages—$10 million for assault and battery and $7 million for breach of asset division. We have reached out to Orcí’s representatives for comment but have yet to receive a response.
