Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals Retirement Plans, Hints Al-Nassr Will Be His Final Club
Cristiano Ronaldo has shared insights into his retirement plans, suggesting that Al-Nassr may be the last club of his career.
In an interview with Portuguese outlet NOW, the 39-year-old star indicated that he is not considering retirement in the immediate future, despite his contract with the Saudi club expiring at the end of the season. Ronaldo, who will turn 40 in February, said, “I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years… but probably I will retire here at Al Nassr.”
He expressed his satisfaction with the club and his life in Saudi Arabia, stating, “I’m very happy at this club and feel good in this country. I want to continue playing here.”
When asked about his international career, Ronaldo mentioned, “When I leave the national team, I won’t announce it in advance. It will be a spontaneous yet well-thought-out decision.”
He also addressed future coaching roles, saying, “At the moment, I’m not considering becoming a coach. It doesn’t even cross my mind. I don’t see my future in that direction.”
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 on a deal reportedly worth £175 million per year, following his departure from Manchester United.
