Adele Stops Munich Concert to Watch Women’s 100m Final
Adele’s love for the Olympics shone through when she paused her concert in Munich, Germany, to watch the women’s 100-meter final.
During her Saturday performance, the singer-songwriter interrupted her show to broadcast the race on the stadium’s massive screens.
The crowd fell silent as they watched Julien Alfred from Saint Lucia win the gold medal, with U.S. athletes Sha’carri Richardson and Melissa Jefferson taking silver and bronze, respectively. Despite lasting just under 11 seconds, the race captivated Adele and her audience.
Afterward, Adele smoothly resumed her performance, though it was clear the Paris Olympics were on her mind—a sentiment shared by many of her celebrity colleagues.
Stars such as Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams, Nicole Kidman, Rebel Wilson, Jessica Chastain, Livvy Dunne, Ariana Grande, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Flavor Flav, and Sarah Jessica Parker have all been spotted enjoying the Olympic atmosphere in Paris
Adele is scheduled to remain in Munich, performing two shows a week until the end of the month.
