After a night out with a man in Lagos, a woman discovered dead in her hotel room.
A tragic incident unfolded at a Lagos hotel as a young lady was found dead in a hotel room following a night out with her lover, who is now evading authorities.
According to Vanguard, the lifeless body of a 28-year-old woman was discovered at Eagle Rock Garden and Suite, situated at 102 Yale Okeowo Street, off Community Road in Ago Palace, Lagos.
The distressing event occurred on Wednesday when a young man checked into the hotel accompanied by the lady. After a brief period, he left her in the room and subsequently became the prime suspect in the crime. The man, known as Kelvin according to the hotel receipt, remains at large.
Sources reveal that the shocking discovery was made on Thursday morning when the deceased woman’s lifeless body was found. An anonymous hotel staff member provided an account of the incident to Vanguard.
The staff member stated, “A young man arrived at the hotel around 11 p.m. on Wednesday with his girlfriend, who seemed to be around 28 years old.” They continued, “He made a payment of N9,000 for the room and entered with her. Shortly after, he came downstairs, inquiring about the hotel gate’s closing time as he intended to visit a club.”
The staff member further explained, “He assured us that he would return soon as his girlfriend was still inside the room. The next morning, despite numerous attempts to contact her by knocking on the door, there was no response.”
Alarmed by the situation, they peered through the window and noticed a leg on the floor. The hotel manager was immediately alerted, who subsequently contacted the Ago Palace Division of the police. Upon forcibly entering the room, they discovered the horrifying scene of a lifeless and unclothed body of the woman.
News of the incident spread when concerned individuals in the vicinity raised the alarm, drawing attention to the tragic event.
When Vanguard arrived at the Eagle Rock Garden and Suite, it was observed that the hotel was still operating, albeit with few customers present at the time of reporting.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Public Relations Officer, confirmed his awareness of the incident and mentioned an ongoing investigation. He stated, “I am aware of the incident, and an investigation is currently underway. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti. Upon the arrival of the Ago Palace Police Division at the hotel, they discovered the lifeless body of a woman lying on the floor. An inhaler used for catarrh was found in her nose.”
