American Attempts Suicide on Third Mainland Bridge
On Monday, June 10, an American citizen in his early 30s tried to commit suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
The Lagos State Police reported that the man directed his baby mama to park her vehicle while he walked to a spot on the bridge, intending to jump into the lagoon.
A passerby noticed his actions and alerted nearby RRS operatives, who managed to prevent him from jumping. The police reunited him with his wife and took them to the RRS Headquarters in Alausa.
The Rapid Response Squad Commander provided advice to the man and his family before transferring the case to the Gender Department of the Lagos Police Command for further counseling and necessary actions.
