On March 10th, 2024, the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, officially declared Monday, March 11, 2024, as the first day of Ramadan in Nigeria.
Ramadan, one of Islam’s five pillars, requires Muslims to fast from dawn to sunset for a duration of 29 to 30 days.
As fasting commenced on March 11th, 2024, Muslims began refraining from food and drink from 5 am until 7 pm daily for the next month.
Taking to his verified Instagram page, Cute Abiola shared his sentiments about feeling the effects of Ramadan on its first day.
Cute Abiola expressed his hunger and lamented the slow passage of time, eagerly anticipating the evening meal to break his fast at 7 pm.
