During an Abuja test drive, a man disappear with a N55 million Benz (Watch Video)
The Abuja police command is currently conducting a search for an individual who allegedly disappeared with a Mercedes Benz GLB 250. The incident was reported by a car dealer known as Manga, who claimed that a person named Henry, claiming to reside in Gwarinpa, absconded with one of his vehicles.
According to Manga’s account, his friend, who is also a car dealer, took the N55 million Benz with a mileage of 19,000 for a test drive with Henry. During the test drive, Manga’s friend stepped out momentarily to withdraw money from a point of sale (PoS) operator. It was at this moment that Henry vanished with the car.
Manga shared the details, stating that they had negotiated the price and agreed on N55 million for the vehicle. Henry requested a test drive, so they drove to a filling station near the automatic car wash in Garki to purchase petrol before proceeding with the test drive.
As soon as Manga’s friend exited the car at the filling station to withdraw money from the PoS operator, Henry swiftly drove off with the vehicle. Due to the lack of traffic congestion in Abuja, the suspect was able to escape without hindrance.
Josephine Ameh, the spokesperson for the Abuja police command, confirmed that the incident had been reported and that officers are actively tracking the suspect. She expressed sympathy for the vehicle owner’s significant loss and assured the public that the police are committed to uncovering the truth behind the incident.
