Lamar Odom Says Drugs Could Have Caused Liam Payne to Hear Voices
Former NBA star Lamar Odom shared his thoughts on Liam Payne’s tragic death, suggesting that drugs may have caused the singer to experience hallucinations before his fatal fall.
What Is Pink Cocaine?
In a conversation with reporters in Encino, California, Odom was asked about “pink cocaine,” a dangerous mix of ketamine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy. This drug combination was found in Payne’s toxicology report after his death. Odom, a recovering addict and founder of Odom Recovery Group, admitted that he has used all the substances in Payne’s system. He warned that cocaine and crack, both of which were in Payne’s system, are extremely dangerous.
Could Drugs Have Led to Hallucinations?
Lamar Odom, who has battled addiction, explained that drugs can cause people to hear voices or experience hallucinations. “When I was using, I would hear voices in my head… and I think that could have happened to Liam,” he said. Odom believes that this could have played a role in Payne’s death, supporting police theories that the singer’s fatal fall from a Buenos Aires hotel balcony might have been influenced by drug use.
Liam Payne’s Struggle with Addiction
Before his death, Liam Payne had spoken openly about his battle with addiction during his time with One Direction. Although he had been working on his sobriety, reports confirmed that Payne was using drugs again at the time of his death. Odom commented that it appeared Liam was “really scoring” drugs before the incident.
Odom’s Message About Sobriety
Lamar Odom, now focused on helping others through his recovery group, hopes that Payne’s death serves as a wake-up call to others, especially those in Hollywood. He emphasized the importance of staying sober and the dangers of street drugs.
