A Glimpse Into the 1990s Hamptons Party Scene
Justin Litovsky, now 30, has shared shocking memories of attending one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ infamous White Parties in the Hamptons when he was just six years old. The event, originally presented as an “afternoon barbecue,” turned out to be a far more provocative affair than anticipated.
What He Witnessed as a Child
Speaking to the New York Post, Justin revealed the surprising scenes he encountered at the party. “I remember a lot of weed and a bunch of topless women in the pool and around the pool,” he recalled. As a child, he was largely oblivious to the party’s adult content, mainly concerned with swimming. “I didn’t know if t**s were a good thing or a bad thing. But I hoped to jump in,” he said, referring to the n@ked women in the pool.
His Mother’s Concerns
Justin’s mother, Maya Litovsky, who was also present at the party, expressed her discomfort. She remembers being taken aback by the atmosphere. “There were bottles everywhere and n@ked women. I wasn’t sure if this was appropriate or normal. I wondered how kids were even allowed into the party,” she stated.
She recalled leaving the party with her family by 9:30 p.m., after spending the afternoon trying to avoid the pot smoke and topless guests.
Star-Studded Parties with a Wild Reputation
Diddy’s White Parties were known for their celebrity-packed guest lists, including the likes of Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Billy Zane, and Sarah Jessica Parker. Justin and his family were at the party with photographer David Allen, Justin’s father and Maya’s husband, who was capturing photos of celebrities for work.
The Introduction of a Kid Curfew
Over time, Diddy recognized the need for restrictions when children were present. At a later event in 2007, Diddy introduced a “kid curfew,” joking from his Hamptons balcony, “If child welfare come here in 30 minutes, that’s on y’all. My kids are downstairs — 15 minutes, the kids have to go.”
This insight into Diddy’s White Parties gives a glimpse into the wild, star-studded nature of the events while highlighting concerns about the appropriateness of children being present.
