Artem Chigvintsev’s Domestic Violence Case Sent to D.A.: Charges May Be Imminent
Artem Chigvintsev‘s arrest for domestic violence is progressing, as the Napa County Sheriff’s office has officially handed over the case to the District Attorney. This development could lead to formal charges against the pro dancer.
Carlos Villatoro, a spokesperson for the Napa County D.A., told TMZ that their office is currently reviewing the case, but no decision has been made on whether Chigvintsev will face charges. The decision will be made after a thorough examination of all evidence, including witness statements, incident footage, and any photographs taken during the investigation.
Chigvintsev’s arraignment is scheduled for Novemb
The arrest took place last Thursday after Chigvintsev allegedly assaulted his wife, Nikki Bella, causing visible injuries that led to his arrest. According to radio dispatch obtained by TMZ, Artem initially called for medical assistance but later requested that paramedics not come. However, police responded to the scene and took him into custody.
In the aftermath, Nikki Bella has been spotted without her wedding ring, notably during her appearance on Netflix’s Joey Chestnut vs. Kobayashi hotdog-eating contest on Monday. Sources indicate she is seeking a divorce lawyer to end their two-year marriage. The couple shares a 4-year-old son, Matteo, who is currently staying with Nikki at their family home, while Artem is reportedly staying with a friend.
