Taylor Swift Retitles Kim Kardashian Diss Track … to Take a Jab at Kanye West
Taylor Swift seems to be needling Kanye West with a new live version of the song that she initially wrote about her feud with Kim Kardashian.
Here’s the deal: Back in April, Taylor released a single titled “thanK you aIMee,” with the letters K, I, and M capitalized, prompting her many fans to assume the song was about her long-standing conflict with Kim Kardashian.
However, this week, Taylor changed the title to “thank You aimEe,” capitalizing the Y and E to spell out Kanye’s nickname, Ye.
Now, people are speculating that the change is linked to Taylor’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which recently beat out Kanye’s “Vultures 2” to remain at the top of the Billboard 200 charts. It seems like Taylor might be rubbing her victory in Kanye’s face.
To jog your memory, Kanye and Kim secretly recorded a conversation with Taylor about his track “Famous,” where Kanye claimed that Taylor had approved the line “I made that bitch famous,” referencing their infamous MTV moment.
However, Taylor later stated that Kanye never mentioned that line during their call. Kim then shared a clip of the conversation, but it was edited to make it seem like Taylor had given her approval. The unedited version later surfaced, showing that Taylor never authorized the line, which led to her writing and releasing “thanK you aIM.”
