Rachel Lindsay’s Essential Advice for ‘Bachelor’ Star Grant Ellis: Get a Prenup!
Rachel Lindsay has some crucial advice for the new “Bachelor” lead, Grant Ellis: While you’re searching for love on the show, make sure you’re also searching for a lawyer!
The former “Bachelorette” star told TMZ that the most important step Grant can take is to protect himself legally if he ends up proposing on the ABC show. Rachel speaks from experience, as she’s currently entangled in a difficult divorce with Bryan Abasolo, whom she met on the show in 2017.
Rachel’s relationship with Bryan has turned into a legal battle following their 2019 wedding. The chiropractor is currently receiving $13,000 a month in spousal support from her and is seeking even more money.
Though their breakup is a bitter conclusion to what was a historic season for the franchise’s first Black lead, Rachel can at least take pride in paving the way for more diversity on the show.
Jenn Tran’s season as the first Asian American ‘Bachelorette’ is airing now, with Grant—one of Jenn’s former suitors—set to become the second Black ‘Bachelor.’
Despite her own ongoing drama, Rachel is excited about the show’s new focus on inclusivity. She emphasized that it’s not just about the lead but the entire cast that needs to reflect more diversity.
