Vice President Kamala Harris’s Husband Doesn’t Deny He Cheated on First Wife
Kamala Harris‘s husband, Doug Emhoff, has seemingly confirmed rumors of infidelity through a statement in which he does not outright deny cheating on his first wife.
Here’s the situation: Conservative media figures have long claimed that Doug Emhoff cheated on his first wife, Kerstin Emhoff, with his daughter’s nanny and subsequently got her pregnant.
The Daily Mail investigated and published an exposé, citing a close friend of the nanny who allegedly confirmed the story.
While many were skeptical, the rumors may have some truth to them, as Emhoff himself addressed the issue in an exclusive statement to CNN, just hours after the Daily Mail story was published.
Emhoff stated, “During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions. I took responsibility, and in the years since, we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side.”
While this is not an outright acknowledgment, he is not dismissing the rumors as untrue or baseless, seemingly confirming their validity.
Additionally, CNN reported that they asked a spokesperson for the Harris campaign if they were denying the basic facts of the Daily Mail story, and the spokesperson declined to comment.
Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff met in 2013, five years after his divorce from Kerstin, and married the following year. Harris became the stepmother to Emhoff’s two children, a fact that was mentioned frequently in the aftermath of J.D. Vance’s comments referring to her as a “childless cat lady.”
