Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury Trade Blows on Video Call
Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury engaged in a lively video call, facilitated by Saudi Arabian sports promoter Turki Alalshikh.
The event took place following the announcement that Joshua and Daniel Dubois will headline a major card at Wembley Stadium on September 21.
Joshua will contend for the IBF heavyweight world title vacated by Oleksandr Usyk, though he’s also keeping an eye on a potential match with Fury. Joshua has three career losses, compared to Fury’s solitary defeat against Usyk in May, with a rematch slated for December 21.
During the call, Alalshikh prompted Fury, stating, “Champ, finish the job on December 21 and see who’s waiting for you.” Joshua chimed in, saying, “I’m waiting for you!” Fury responded confidently, “I’ll get the job done against Usyk!”
Joshua indicated he’d await Fury regardless of the outcome, with Alalshikh proposing to arrange the fight for early 2025.
The conversation included banter between Joshua and Fury, including playful insults and challenges ahead of their potential showdown. You can watch the video below to see their lively exchange.
