Trump’s Press Secretary Removed from CNN Interview After Alleging Bias
On Monday morning, Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was removed from a CNN interview after alleging that the network’s personalities moderating Thursday’s presidential debate were biased.
The interview began with Kasie Hunt questioning Leavitt, who immediately claimed that the debate would be hostile for Donald Trump due to the supposed bias of CNN moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
Hunt responded by asserting that her colleagues have “acquitted themselves as professionals” and suggested that candidates who attack the moderators are showing signs of weakness.
Leavitt disagreed and continued to press the issue, prompting a visibly upset Hunt to set clear boundaries. She stated that if Leavitt persisted in attacking her colleagues, the interview would be terminated.
Leavitt did not relent, leading Hunt to follow through on her warning and remove Leavitt from the show.
