Reports indicate that two women who had accused American singer Trey Songz of sexual assault at a 2015 gathering at his residence in Bell Canyon have dropped their lawsuit. According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, George Vrabeck, the lawyer representing the two accusers identified as Jane Doe A and Jane Doe B, has decided to dismiss the complaint without prejudice, leaving open the possibility of refiling the case in the future.

The lawsuit, initially filed in October 2023, alleged that the women had blacked out during Songz’s house party and later found themselves in a situation where he allegedly assaulted them.

The accusations in the lawsuit included claims of sexual assault and battery against Songz.

The women stated that they had first met Songz at one of his concerts in 2015 and had maintained communication with him. They further alleged that they were invited to Songz’s residence in August for his birthday celebration. Upon arrival at Songz’s home, the women claimed they were asked to surrender their phones and were encouraged to consume alcohol from unsealed bottles, leading them to feel excessively intoxicated despite drinking only modest amounts. According to the lawsuit, the women recounted waking up in a bedroom at Songz’s residence with their clothes on, only to find Songz allegedly assaulting them while they were unconscious.

One of the victims purportedly resisted Songz’s advances, but he allegedly persisted.

Following the incident, the women claimed Songz demanded they shower together, which they refused, resulting in Songz reportedly ejecting them from his home.

The lawsuit sought unspecified damages.

In response to the allegations, Songz’s attorney, Michael Freedman, emphasized that the claims stemmed from nearly decade-old events and appeared to exploit California’s controversial extension of the statute of limitations. Freedman expressed confidence in vindicating Songz in court.

This development comes on the heels of Songz’s recent legal victory, where a federal judge dismissed a $10 million lawsuit filed by another woman. In that case, the woman accused Songz of pulling down her bikini top at a pool party, but the judge ruled that the lawsuit had been filed well beyond the statute of limitations.
