In an interview with Power 96.5 FM in Miami, the Grammy-winning artist emphasized her preference for a partner who enjoys playing video games over someone who spends their time in clubs. Explaining her single status, Tyla attributed it to her desire to channel all her energy into her music career, prioritizing her professional aspirations over romantic relationships.

During the interview, she was asked a hypothetical question: whether she would prefer a boyfriend who spends a lot of time playing video games or one who is always at the club.

Tyla replied:

“Video games all day. A club guy? No! What the hell?

“I would rather have a boyfriend who plays video games than a boyfriend who is at the club every weekend. At least, I know the guy who plays video games will always be home with me. I also love being at home.”

Regarding why she is single, she stated:
