Bella Shmurda turns down a fan’s portrait gift of Mohbad and his son, Liam, given by a fan, saying, “I can’t have this in my house. During a recent performance captured in a circulating video, Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda garnered attention for declining a fan’s heartfelt gift – a portrait featuring his late friend Mohbad and Mohbad’s son, Liam. While standing on an elevated stage amidst a massive crowd, Bella graciously thanked God for life and wished tranquility for Mohbad. However, when presented with the portrait, he took to the microphone to express his inability to accommodate the artwork in his home.
Bella, in a polite manner, conveyed that the fan who presented the gift would be the one to take it back. Despite the rejection, he didn’t let the moment pass without showing appreciation and rewarded the fan with a substantial prize.
This incident sparked reactions on social media, prompting discussions about artists’ personal preferences and the intricacies of accepting gifts in the public eye.
He says this in Yoruba: “You that brought this picture will be the same person to take it back because I can’t put this in my house, but I will give you money.”
