A man known as David, alias DJ Don Dada, is accused of raping a woman in a hotel room in the Akowonjo area of Lagos State and making off with her iPhone. According to PR executive Sam Olatunji, the suspect approached the hotel receptionist, posing as someone seeking a model for a product showcase at Eko Hotel. The receptionist then called a lady she knew, who, to ensure her safety, brought along her brother. Shockingly, DJ Don Dada allegedly raped the woman, stole her borrowed iPhone, insisting that she needed the latest model (iPhone 14/15) for the job opportunity.
After the assault and theft, the hotel management discovered that DJ Don Dada had placed papers cut to the size of money alongside actual money, creating a deceptive illusion of a substantial cash stash.
Operating under the alias DJ Don Dada, he reportedly attempted to strangle the victim but spared her out of pity, leaving her traumatized by the incident.
The victim, the hotel, and family members are seeking justice, urging the government and police to take decisive action to ensure that David faces the full consequences of his alleged actions. The call is for collective action to stand up for the rights of the girl child and condemn actions that bring disrepute to men.
