Who dey listen to werey, one style music – Portable insulted Seyi Vibez after seyi posted 2 billion streams,
Street Hip-Hop artist Portable Omolalomi has taken a swipe at his fellow rapper Seyi Vibez, disputing claims of hitting two billion global streams. Seyi Vibez had recently shared news of this achievement on Instagram, showcasing a plaque.
Portable countered by accusing Seyi Vibez of exaggerating his stream numbers, asserting that his music style is confined to the local scene and wouldn’t attract such massive global attention. He went on to emphasize Seyi Vibez’s purported inability to draw crowds at European shows while questioning the credibility of his claimed two billion streams.
Furthermore, Portable brought up a past controversy, recalling an incident where Seyi Vibez was allegedly disqualified from the Headies due to threats against the organizers. He claimed that the award given to Seyi Vibez for Best Street-Hop Artiste was a mistake, suggesting that even the Headies regretted the decision.
In part of his statement, Portable expressed skepticism about Seyi Vibez’s international recognition, mocking his supposed one-style music and implying that his achievements are not as acclaimed as presented. The exchange between the two artists adds another layer to the ongoing dynamics within the music industry.
