Israeli Citizens Appeal for Assistance as Hamas Militants Raid Homes (Full Video)
Hamas militants launched a series of coordinated attacks on two kibbutzim in southern Israel, leaving residents of these vulnerable communities in desperate need of help.
Civilians found themselves held hostage in their homes by the terrorists and urgently called on the military for assistance in the southern kibbutzim of Nir Oz and Nir Am, as well as other communities along the Gaza Strip border.
“We are massacred. There is no army. It’s been 6 hours,” lamented a kibbutz resident. “People are begging for their lives.”
Reports emerged of militants entering homes, and frantic family members outside were unable to contact their loved ones.
One resident, Gaia, from Tel Aviv, recounted her sister’s ordeal in the southern kibbutz of Nir Oz, where they were hiding in a shelter as the militants entered. However, communication was lost, and Gaia’s brother reported casualties in the kibbutz, with no sign of Israeli authorities.
Residents expressed growing frustration that hours after the infiltrations, there was no visible presence of Israeli security forces, leaving them feeling abandoned.
Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai acknowledged the challenges, stating that they were dealing with multiple conflict zones and emphasizing the importance of civilians staying behind closed doors for their safety.
Despite the chaos, there was a plea for restraint and patience. Over 250 Israelis had lost their lives, and more than 1,500 were injured in these attacks.
Eight hours after the initial sightings of Palestinian fighters in border communities, gunshots were still echoing, with residents anxiously barricading themselves in shelters.
These attacks marked a grave escalation in the ongoing conflict, with the situation in the region deteriorating rapidly.
