At midnight, Governor Zulum visits the Gwoza Hospital
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, expressed his deep concern about the lack of essential facilities at Goza General Hospital in Gwoza Local Government Area.
Governor Zulum expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that a vital healthcare facility like Gwoza General Hospital lacks basic amenities such as electricity and clean water.
During a surprise visit to the hospital late at night on Saturday as part of his one-day working visit to Gwoza town, the governor personally inspected various sections of the facility. He expressed his disappointment and dismay at the state of the hospital, emphasizing that nobody had brought the dire situation to his attention earlier.
Governor Zulum stressed that the deplorable conditions of the hospital have the potential to impede the efforts of dedicated healthcare professionals.
He stated, “It is unacceptable that a critical healthcare facility like Gwoza General Hospital is deprived of basic amenities, including electricity. This compromises the quality of care provided to patients and hinders the tireless efforts of our healthcare professionals. Our aim is not to assign blame; we are here to find solutions. No one informed me about the deplorable conditions of this facility.”
