A Man accused of attempting to kill his wife for money ritual in Adamawa (Video)
A man identified as Mr. Zira, hailing from the Bokka community in Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, has been accused of a murder attempt on his wife allegedly for the purpose of a money ritual.
According to a Facebook post made by a Special Assistant to the Adamawa State Governor, Sen Vandi Fintiri, Mr. Zira, who resides in Plateau State, lured his wife into a bush located in Song LGA of Adamawa. He then demanded to have sexual relations with her.
However, the wife refused, stating that the bush was not an appropriate place for such activity. Angered by her refusal, the suspect allegedly stabbed her multiple times with a knife, stopping only when he believed she was dead.
Afterwards, he covered her with leaves and took her shoe, mobile phone, and money before leaving the scene. Unbeknownst to him, the victim pretended to be deceased.
Fortunately, the woman’s cries for help and her visible injuries caught the attention of some passing women who promptly rescued her. They took her to the General Hospital in Song for medical attention.
The Facebook post included details about the incident, with the woman’s picture shared to raise awareness. It emphasized that Mr. Zira, a businessman from Jos Plateau State, had instructed his wife to keep the trip a secret but she had confided in her aunt about it.
As of now, Mr. Zira has fled Song LGA, and his current whereabouts remain unknown. The post calls for the appropriate authorities to be informed so that justice can be served for the victim.
