Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, the tallest man in Nigeria, passed away at the age of 48 following a protracted illness.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, the renowned Nigerian tallest man. Afeez, who stood at an impressive height of 7 ft 4, battled with chronic hip arthritis for an extended period of time, which took a toll on his health and well-being.
Despite his relentless fight, Afeez’s condition worsened over the months, causing him immense pain and discomfort. In his quest for relief, he sought financial assistance to undergo a crucial surgery. Unfortunately, complications arose, and he was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on the evening of June 14.
Tragically, Afeez succumbed to his illness around 7:30 pm, leaving behind a void in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence was truly remarkable, and his towering stature captivated the admiration and curiosity of many.
Today, as we reflect on the life of Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, we mourn the loss of a remarkable individual who faced tremendous challenges with unwavering courage. His legacy will live on, reminding us to appreciate the strength of the human spirit.
